March is Women’s History Month, and The Urban News shined the spotlight on 7 extraordinary women with it’s March 13 article, “Real Women, Real Stories“. Two of the featured women were December 2019 Entrepreneurial Accelerator participants!

The Entrepreneurial Accelerator (TEA) is a customizable 3-day live event designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners as they catapult from concept to the commercial sphere. This program was designed to emphasize serving low to moderate-income earners, people of color, and women. See the 2019 Impact Report.

Eboné Graham

“Eboné Graham is an equity advocate, entrepreneur, and blogger. She assists minority and low to moderate income earners to grow their businesses as the Opportunity Asheville Liaison. She also serves as a board member of Equity Over Everything and as the Asheville Sister Cities Committee Chair for Osogbo, Nigeria. Eboné is also a proud member of the Adé Project Collective and a host on the Asheville View.”

“Yvette Jives is a native of Asheville and serves as a member of Buncombe County Health and Human Services Board. Yvette also serves on the Haywood Street Respite Board which provides services for homeless in need of support of their well-being and healthcare needs as they strive to attain a baseline in their health status.”
